Copyright Policy

We respect intellectual property rights and expect users of OrgDeck to do the same. Content like avatars, organization logos, operation images, alliance images, and bug-report attachments is uploaded by users, not screened by us before it's visible. If you believe something on OrgDeck infringes your copyright, this page explains how to tell us and what happens next.

Email a notice to orgdeckinfo@gmail.com with the following information. A notice missing these details may take longer for us to act on:

• Your physical or electronic signature;
• Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is being infringed;
• Identification of the material you believe is infringing, and where it appears on OrgDeck (a URL or a description specific enough for us to locate it);
• Your contact information — name, address, and email;
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
• A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the above is accurate and that you're authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

We review every notice we receive. Where a notice is valid and the material does appear to be infringing, we'll remove or disable access to it and notify the account responsible for uploading it — regardless of which country's law technically applies to a given notice, since that's not something we ask a reporter to sort out for us.

Accounts responsible for repeated, substantiated infringement may be suspended or terminated at our discretion.

If content you uploaded was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address above, including:

• Your physical or electronic signature;
• Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal;
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
• Your name, address, and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the applicable federal court and will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.

If the original complainant doesn't pursue further legal action within a reasonable window, we'll typically restore the content.

For notices governed by Canadian law, we forward a compliant notice to the account holder identified in it, as required by the Copyright Act's notice-and-notice provisions. This doesn't on its own require us to remove anything — but as described above, our practice is to evaluate and typically remove clearly-infringing content regardless of which regime a given notice falls under.
